Brazil is becoming established as one of the major world economies and has transformed itself into a primarily urban country. In line with this trend, vast investments have been made in infrastructure in recent years, and this has also intensified due to the forthcoming major events such as the 2014 Football World Cup and the 2016 Olympics. This edition of "Cadernos FGV Projetos," published on the occasion of the III Brazil Infrastructure Investments Forum in the United States dedicated to the topic of Infrastructure, features some of the successful experiences that have contributed to the country's modernization. Various topics are discussed, from sanitation to civil construction, including transportation, telecommunications, logistics, investment, hiring and management models, as well as the challenges facing cities and municipalities and the key requirements of the sector. The publication will be released in English during the seminar and subsequently in Portuguese.
