Luncheon-talk - Brazil, Europe and the Global Economy: Future Challenges

On April 14, FGV Projetos hosted a debate on the directions of the global economy with the president of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (University of Kiel, Germany), Dennis J. Snower, as the keynote speaker. On his first visit to Latin America he gave a talk entitled Brazil, Europe and the Global Economy: Future Challenges to a group of entrepreneurs, senior executives of national and multinational companies and Fundação Getulio Vargas academic staff. A specialist in macroeconomic and microeconomic theory, public economics, labor economics, organizational changes, among other areas, Snower combines his career as academic researcher with his role as economic adviser to Dresdner Bank. This economist also serves on the Global Agenda Council on Economic Imbalances and the Global Agenda Council on the Skills Gap, both part of the World Economic Forum, and is a member of the American Economic Association and of the European Economic Association.
