    Government procurement management is the topic of the Seminar organized by FGV in conjunction with the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the National Education Development Fund (FNDE) on September 14 in Brasilia.

    The Brazilian Investor Relations Institute (Instituto Brasileiro de Relações com Investidores – IBRI), in coordination with the Apimec Rio and with the support of FGV Projetos, held an international seminar on “Valuation and Investor Relations”. The event took place on August 25 on the 12th floor of the headquarters of the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), shortly after the editions of Belo Horizonte (22) and São Paulo (24).

    With the approach of the major events of the 2014 World Soccer Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games, the city will be playing the role of a world “window”. The secretary of Conservation and Public Services for the city of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Roberto Osório, visited FGV to discuss the current phase of optimism and development in the city, and the opportunities, strategies and challenges that accompany these top events.

    To coordinate actions of social responsibility involving the third sector, companies, governments and organized society, with a professionalized and transparent administration: this was the objective of the “1st Meeting of Civil Society Organizations acting in partnership with the Rio de Janeiro State Government” held on May 11 in the FGV Foundation headquarters and organized by FGV Projetos and the Project Management Office of the Rio de Janeiro State Executive Staff (EGP-Rio).

    The State of Rio Grande do Sul adopted a new development strategy and is using the FGV technical advisory services for various projects in the Public Administration area. In April, a lunch was held in honor of Tarso Genro, State Governor of Rio Grande do Sul, to present these projects.
    The event was attended by members of the departments of Development and Further Investment and of Administration and Citizen Participation, and from the Rio Grande do Sul State Agency for Development and Further Investment.
