III World Economy and Brazil

Together with the Brazil-American Chamber of Commerce (Brazilcham), FGV Projetos held at the Harvard Club, in New York, the III World Economy and Brazil. Cesar Cunha Campos, director of FGV Projetos, presided the event and made a presentation about the current Brazilian scenario. Olivier Blanchard, chief economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), presented an overview of the status of the world economy, and Otaviano Canuto, senior consultants of BRICS at the World Bank, analyzed the BRICS from the perspective of the changes occurring worldwide. The debate was moderated by professor Carlos Langoni, director of the FGV World Economy Center and former president of the Central Bank of Brazil. 

The event was sponsored by Bradesco and had the Financial Times as the media partner.

On the same week, FGV Projetos participated in the Person of the Year Awards Gala Dinner, an event that promoted since 1970 by the Brazilcham and that this year paid a homage to executive Rubens Ometto Silveira Mello
