Government Summit

On February 11-12 a delegation composed of members of the Fundação Getulio Vargas, the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic and of the Government of Minas Gerais participated in the first Government Summit of the United Arab Emirates held in Dubai. Invited as a strategic partner, FGV, through its International Council, was responsible for the design of a panel dedicated to Brazil in which the country's successes in the area of public administration were exposed. According to the International Director of FGV, Professor Bianor Cavalcanti, the invitation made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Governor of Dubai, came in response to the interest of the government of the United Arab Emirates and other countries in the Gulf region to learn more about Brazil's capacity to provide services and implement public policies and programs that are complex and socially relevant and complex. FGV Projetos supported the participation of the International Council for the event, which attracted more than 2,000 representatives of the United Arab Emirates and neighboring countries.
